Trinity Primary School in the inner suburb of Richmond has a mixture of long standing administrative and classroom facilities combined with more modern recently constructed classroom and Library spaces.
The internal areas exhibited a colour scheme that did not match more recent works, delivering a dark tone rather than a preferred light and spacious feel.
As a part of the Furlong Partner Process, we sat with school leadership to determine the exact needs and develop a plan that would achieve the outcome in a cost effective way. Working at most convenient times for the school, the result was a consistent, contemporary colour scheme.
The next stage is to transform external surfaces of the older building addressing both maintenance and aesthetic needs to ensure the image of the school is conveyed to both present and future families. The challenges of No Go Zones (high and low voltage), occupation of council land, use of mobile and fixed access equipment (boom lifts, scaffolding etc) all exist but with careful planning and implementation will be successfully catered for.
