Balwyn High School
Balwyn High School is a state co-educational facility in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs with a reputation for delivering an educational experience of high standing.
With a backdrop of new school buildings and a desire to introduce a consistent colour palette across all facilities, Furlong Painting was engaged to repaint the school facilities both internally and externally.
Buildings dating from early 1960’s through to more modern facilities included a variety of substrates and dictated specific preparation and painting strategies with selective finishes to maximize the life of the coating.
A colour consultancy process led to a colour palette that would bring a consistency across the entire school. Occupational Health and Safety processes were tailored to the school’s needs.
With a brief to minimize disruption to the school community, site sensitive project planning and daily communication was adopted with the works strategy including both in and out of school hours painting. The ability to shift works quickly to meet school demands highlighted Furlong Painting’s client focused principles.
The result was a school whose aesthetic presence now matched its high standard of educational delivery.
