Built in 1930, Box Hill High School?s original building is a significant landmark in the local community.
Years of heavily weathered surfaces, both aesthetic and structural were apparent. Furlong Painting began with a series of building repairs to ensure sound substrates, prior to considerable preparation of surfaces in readiness for their new lease of life.
To minimise disruption to the school routine, the painters were sensitive to working in and around a working school environment. High traffic areas were addressed out of school hours, whilst appropriate management techniques were employed that allowed the school community to safely continue with the daily routine.
Only premium finishes were used to offer a longevity of colour compared with some previous oil based coatings.
The landmark has once again regained its ?awe inspiring? appeal.
